Happy Mother's Day

Without a doubt, my mom has done more for my siblings and I than I can count. I tweeted today that there is one word to describe her, dedicated. She is an amazing woman and I miss her daily.

With that being said, I can't wait to get advice from her for raising my own children. For now, I have Tana as my "little girl" and 103 students ranging from 12-14 years old that I consider myself to be a motherly mentor to Monday through Friday. As a matter of fact, one student said "Happy Mother's Day" to me on Friday and I kindly reminded them that I wasn't a mother...yet. One raised her hand and said, "Well, you kind of adopted all of us, right?" You bet I did, sweet girl. You bet I did!!
