Texas Power's softball team, Swagga, won the championship game last night 20-19! They work so well as a team and really motivate each other on and off the field.

My Best Friend's Wedding

One of my best friends, Leah, had a destination wedding a couple of weekends ago. She had her reception back in Nashville on May 16. I am so happy for you Leah! You deserve a great guy to take care of you for many years to come!!

We had a fajita fiesta to celebrate Jordan and his girlfriend, Kristen's, graduation. The food was great and the setting was beautiful! There are more graduation pics to come!

Meeting more of the Fam!

This is my second time visiting Dumas, Texas where some of Slone's family lives. I got to meet his grandfather, aunt, uncle, and their kids this past weekend. Slone's dad, Dee, and his family also drove down from Minnesota and met us there. We cooked out after a graduation on Saturday and watched the kids have fun on the play set.

Sunday, we drove to Gruver to see Boompa and eat breakfast before heading back to Arlington. Dee, Jen, and TJ came back with us and are staying through Wednesday. We are so excited to have them here and I know there will be more pictures to post after they leave!

Congratulations Trent and Holly!

Last Friday, we got to share in a special time with Trent and Holly. The shower was beautiful and very well put together by all of the hosts. They are getting married on June 6 and we couldn't be happier for them!

This past Sunday we celebrated Kaity and Kaegan's birthday. Kaity's is on May 1 and Kaegan's is on May 2. This was my first birthday party to plan and I loved every minute of it. I want to plan events when I'm not teaching and this was great experience! We decided to have double the fun on Sunday and combine the parties. The kids had so much fun running around while the family sat around and chit chatted!

Reading the Bible in a Year

My friend Lindsay read the bible in a year and I've never been able to find the time to do it. I hate admitting to that, but it's the truth. Reading God's Word should be the first thing on my to-do list everyday and for a while it has been pushed to the bottom. Well, yesterday was Day 1 for me! In the back of my bible there is a reading chart that maps out what to read each day to finish in 365 days. I am really excited to begin this new chapter in my life. I think it will allow me to grow more as a Christian and really be able to know God and have a deeper relationship with him.
