Amicitia

I have had the awesome privilege of being friends with some of the sweetest girls. Leah recently got a new tattoo to represent our friendship. I think it looks very pretty and so creative!

Bobcat Reunion

Brandon's high school baseball team had a reunion this past Saturday. It's hard to believe that he graduated 4 years ago! It's crazy how time flies! The older man on the end, sitting in front of my brother, is Stephen Langston's dad. Stephen passed away in a car accident in 2005 before he was scheduled to start playing ball at David Lipscomb. This was an extremely hard time for the team and I will never forget my brother coming to my apartment that night to explain to me what had happened. It was one of the hardest funerals I've ever been to. So many young people were there pouring out their grief over his loss. The anniversary of his death is August 14 so if you remember, please say a prayer for his parents. They are some of the sweetest people I've ever met.

Peaceful Mornings

So you know how people always ask "Are you a morning or night person?" I never really could answer that because depending on where I'm going early in the morning :) I can be quite excited and easy to wake up. But sometimes I can be a complete night owl and stay up late, thanks to Slone who is a major night owl! This week I have been getting up at 7 am and walking in our neighborhood. I am doing this for a couple of reasons, #1 to have quiet time with God and #2 for exercise. Although the temperature has been hovering around 75-80 degrees this early, it still feels great to be out there talking to God and preparing for the day ahead of me. I absolutely love where we live and am so grateful that He has provided such an awesome home for us.

Up and Coming MVP!

As most of you know, Reagan made the volleyball team at her new school, Lipscomb. She is so excited and mom says that she has lots of potential. Here's what her coach had to say about her in an email exchange with my mom yesterday.

"Reagan is such a sweetheart and a hard worker to boot! She is always the first one back from water breaks asking if I'll pass with her. She is wonderful!"
