VaCaY!

We went to Nashville last Wednesday and got back Tuesday morning around 11. I was so grateful to be able to take the new car on the trip. No flying, renting a car, or last minute maintenance on Slone's car with a prayer to get us there safely. I love road trippin' with my love and pup!

What's the first thing we did when we got there? Went swimming, of course! It was our first time to swim this year and it was great.

 Braxton is getting so big! I can't believe he'll be 3 in September :)

 B was working when we got in, so he came as soon as he got off. I can't help but to think what's in his pocket at this moment...that would be his iPhone... I feel a little responsible for his excitement to get there because we had been posting pictures to Instagram all day that he could see. He said he was just happy to finally be there with us that he didn't even think about his phone being in his pocket and jumped right in :(

Texas Power Adopts A Highway Part 2

As I mentioned, a few Saturdays ago we headed to Texas Power and helped with cleaning our adopted stretch of the highway. It was nice and cool out, but warmed up rather quickly as it reached noon! This was the first time that I had been involved in something like this and I must say it felt really good to be helping out. Jon, Bobby, Slone, and myself were on a team. Needless to say we had a good time :) Here are some pictures of those that attended the clean up. Of course as most of you out there know, when you are in charge of camera duty or just like to capture moments like myself, you are always behind the camera and never in any pics! LOL!

Texas Power Adopts A Highway!

I'm really proud of our company and Jonathan Flores for heading up such an awesome opportunity for us at Texas Power. We recently adopted a 2-mile stretch of highway on Pioneer Parkway and will have our first clean up event this Saturday morning. I will be sure to post more pictures next week!

Soon we'll get to meet Mr. Braylon Alan!

We are so excited for B and Katelyn to add another little boy to the family! Braxton is going to be such a great big brother and it gives me another baby to spoil :) Braylon's potential birthday is very special because it is my great grandmother, Lorena's, birthday too!

A Little Weekend Visit

We had family in from Minnesota this past weekend! Dee, Jen, and the kiddos arrived Friday afternoon and left Sunday evening. Friday night we headed to the Highlands for dinner and got up early Saturday morning to go to the Fort Worth Zoo. I had a teacher development workshop that morning so I missed out on that round of fun but I heard they had a great time! TJ brought back a bright green monkey that made silly noises :) Here are some more things we did over the weekend!

Grilled some amazing Nolan Ryan steaks, BBQ chicken and corn on the cob!

 And the weekend wouldn't have been complete without a trip to Pappa's Burgers after Slone's basketball game! I love this picture of these three. We love these little guys so much! It is so awesome to see Slone play the role of big brother. TJ sure thinks he's cool ;)
