God's Awesome Wonder

It comes from Central America and is found from Mexico to Panama. It is quite common in its zone, but it is not easy to find because of its transparent wings, which are a natural camouflage mechanism.

A butterfly with transparent wings is rare and beautiful. As delicate as finely blown glass, the presence of this rare tropical gem is used by rain forest ecologists as an indication of high habitat quality and its demise alerts them of ecological change. Rivaling the refined beauty of a stained glass window, the translucent wings of the Glasswing butterfly shimmer in the sunlight like polished panes of turquoise, orange, green, and red. All things beautiful do not have to be full of color to be noticed: in life that which is unnoticed can have great power.

Additional pics from the shower

Somehow the pictures of the decorations didn't make it into the last post! I could not let them go without recognition because we worked very hard on them! :)

Enjoy!

Landon will be here soon!

This weekend we celebrated with Jon and Heather as they await the arrival of their baby, Landon. We ate, played games, and watched Jon act silly, which is always very entertaining. Slone and I are so happy to have such great friends and we can't wait to meet their new addition!

Baby footprints led the way to the shower!

Daddy and Mommy to be

I love this picture!

The bib that Whitney got them says, "Spit Happens"

Whose string will fit Heather's tummy?

Slone is the winner!

Jon giving everyone a laugh with a little dance!

Kim's string was way too big for Jon's tummy! :)

Getting prepared!

Thank you for your help Missi, Jessi, and Jen!
